President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has prayed that Nigeria’s diversity becomes a source of economic prosperity, national unity and development.
The president made the prayer during a dinner he hosted for members of his delegation in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, where he is currently undertaking the Umrah pilgrimage.
“God bless Nigeria and convert our diversity to prosperity as a country,” Tinubu prayed.
The gathering was attended by state governors, business leaders and senior government officials accompanying the President on the spiritual journey.
At the dinner, the chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, pledged the continued support of the business community for Tinubu, describing him as a leader passionate about Nigeria’s development.
Rabiu assured the president that business leaders would continue to support his administration in advancing the country’s development objectives.
“We are going to continue to support His Excellency in whatever capacity that we can. And, as you all know, Mr President is definitely very passionate about the country. He is working very hard, and we will continue to support him,” he said.
The industrialist also expressed appreciation to Tinubu for providing the delegation members with the opportunity to undertake the spiritual journey, particularly the rare privilege of entering the Kaaba to offer prayers.
He said the experience had allowed them to pray for their families and Nigeria at a critical period when the country needed peace, unity and prosperity.
Rabiu disclosed that the dinner was the third hosted by the President since the delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia, adding that the occasion also provided an opportunity to appreciate Tinubu’s commitment to national development.
Also speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq prayed for divine wisdom, strength and courage for the President to continue making decisions in the best interest of Nigeria.
“We are overwhelmed. Allah will continue to bless you. We will pray for you daily. Pray for Nigeria that you lead. And may Allah continue to strengthen you in making the right decisions. Strengthen your wisdom, your boldness, your audacity and your courage,” AbdulRazaq said.
The governor expressed appreciation to Tinubu for inviting them to participate in the pilgrimage, describing the spiritual experience as memorable.
He also prayed for continued divine guidance and blessings for the President as he navigates the challenges confronting the country.
Similarly, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, offered prayers for Tinubu, asking Allah to grant his personal aspirations and answer his supplications.
Fagbemi noted that, irrespective of an individual’s accomplishments or position in life, there would always be personal desires that require divine intervention.
He consequently prayed for the fulfilment of the President’s heart’s desires and continued blessings upon his life.
Tinubu performed the Umrah pilgrimage at the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Friday, 30 October, where he prayed for Nigeria’s peace, national unity, stability and prosperity.
The pilgrimage brought together governors, prominent business figures and senior government officials, providing the President and members of his delegation an opportunity to seek divine guidance for Nigeria’s leadership and future.
