We’re Committed to Strengthening Nigeria’s Constitution – Governors

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State command has braced-up to ensure the security of lives and property of the residents during the Christmas and new year celebrations.
The state commandant, Paul Igwebuike disclosed this yesterday while speaking with LEADERSHIP Sunday at the command’s headquarters in Umuahia, noting that the measures put in place were in addition to existing precautions.
He said the decision was taken at a quarterly management meeting of the command where they analysed available intelligence report, assuring that no stone would be left unturned to achieve the objective.
According to him, the meeting offered them an opportunity to brainstorm on strategic personnel deployment based on the report to contain the pressure of the season and beyond.
“I have, therefore, directed immediate deployment of personnel to strategic private, public locations and other flash points. Increased patrols will complement the deployment,” he explained.
He appreciated the commandant-general of the corps, Ahmed Audi for prioritising personnel welfare, regular promotion, training and retraining which he said had been very encouraging.
Ugwebuike also thanked the general public for providing the command with useful information and appealed that they remain law-abiding and security-conscious.
