Abia State government 1,200-youth programme has attracted $3 million funding from MasterCard Foundation.

‎The commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, stated this while briefing the press on this week’s State Executive Council (SEC), which the governor, Alex Otti, presided over in Umuahia, the state capital.

‎”This huge injection of sponsorship funds into the state economy is due largely to the sterling governance credentials of the governor, Alex Otti.”

This is also because of Otti’s integrity, as noted in the following statement: “The programme is designed to equip our youths with skills in garment making and leather works.”

‎According to him, the programme, which is through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, is in collaboration with Ethnocentric Ltd.

‎”The company has onboarded the youths for the second cohort of the fashion future skills acquisition programme in garments and leather works.”
