Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has emerged winner of the Northwest National Orientation Agency (NOA) 7 for 7 National Values Charter Campus Debate.

The debate which was held at the conference hall of the Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies (KASCEPS) was oganised by NOA to inspire the youths on national values and responsibilities.
Speaking at the event, NOA programme coordinator for the join-the-value-train-to-campus initiative, Tolu Meduna, said the programme aimed to raise values-brigadiers in campuses who would champion nation building and a prosperous country.

ā€œThis Initiative would create platforms in our institutions to raise leaders and mentor them to become champions and public speakers,ā€ she noted.

NOA acting state director, Rabiu Ado, said the agency would continue to groom the young ones on national values to make them resilient, disciplined and patriotic.

Earlier, KASCEPS provost, Prof Sanusi Yakubu, said as an institution that respects national values, it has made way for the production of citizens with reputation thriving in various positions, promising to promote national ideals among teachers and staff of the college.

Meanwhile, the debate centred on the topic, ā€œ7 for 7 National Values Charter: striking the balance between government promises and citizen’s responsibilities in nation-building.ā€
