In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Joseph Omorogbe, the party said it was heartbroken and deeply saddened over the tragic incident and prayed to God Almighty to console, comfort and strengthen the families that lost their loved ones and speedy recovery for the injured.

“Accord urges the Federal and state governments to take proactive measures to prevent a recurrence of this monumental disaster. The party also appeals to citizens to refrain from scooping petroleum products at accident scenes, as they are highly flammable. We share the grief of all those affected by this unfortunate incident,” it said.
