Popular Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade, has responded to fans who questioned her faith after she was seen attending an event at a Celestial Church in Lagos.

The actress was a guest at the 60th-birthday Thanksgiving service for Prince Dele Akinola, held at the Celestial Church of Christ, King of Kings Cathedral, in Iju.

Photos and videos of her at the church quickly went viral, leading many to wonder if the actress, who is a practising Muslim, had converted to Christianity.

In response to online comments, Adunni Ade made it clear that she has not changed her religion. She explained that she was born and raised in a Muslim home and still practices Islam today.

The actress pointed out that her visit to the church was strictly for work. She revealed that she has been a brand ambassador for the celebrant’s company for over five years and attended the event to support her boss.
