Adamawa Police Arrest Man Disguised As Woman In Church

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Mohammed Umar, a resident of Abuja Road in Yola South local government area of the state for loitering within Ngurore LCCN Church premises, wearing clothing that typically associated with the female gender.

Police Public Relations Officer in the Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said the arrest followed a report received from one Sunday Andrawus to the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters, after observing the suspect’s movement within the premises of the Church.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris has directed the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yola, for discreet and full scale investigation.

The Command expressed its commitment to ensuring public safety, public order and encouraged residents to remain vigilant and give timely report of suspicious movement to the Police.

SP Suleiman Nguroje assured that the suspect would be charged to court after completion of investigation.
