ADC BOT Member, Okoye Hails Court Ruling On Mark’s Leadership

Former Presidential Candidate and African Democratic Congress, ADC, Board of Trustees ( BOT) member, High Chief Godson Okoye has hailed the Federal High Court Judgement affirming the Sen. David Mark led National Working Committee, NWC.

Speaking to Journalists in Abuja Friday , Chief Okoye hailed the Judge’s courage in standing strong on the path of justice , describing the judgement as a land mark ruling that will strengthen opposition and democracy in the country.

He noted that the victory of the party at the court will energize the party to galvanize more support and courage to wrestle power from the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress, APC

Okoye called on the judiciary as an independent body and the last hope of the ordinary man to always discharge it’s duties without fear or favour and insulate itself from the grip of the executive arm, adding that the judiciary has a role to play in defence of Nigeria’s democracy.

The ADC Chieftain who thanked party members for their massive support urged the National leadership of the party to leverage on the court Judgement and unite the party ahead of the 2027 general election.

He noted that the African Democratic Congress, ADC , is determined to rescue Nigeria from the ineptitude All Progressive Congress APC government that has brought hardship, hunger and debts to Nigerians.

Okoye appealed to those who left the party as a result of fear of multiple legal challenges or one reason or the other to return to the party , assuring that the ADC has come to stay.

Recall that Hon. Justice M. S. Liman of the Federal High Court, Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission , INEC, to accord Senator David Mark and other NWC members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC recognition as duly elected National Officers of the ADC.

In delivering his judgment on the merits in suit no FHC/ ABJ/ CS/ 1637/2025/Hon Leke Joseph Abejide VS African Democratic Congress, ADC , Hon. Justice Liman of the Federal High Court Abuja held that Senator David Mark and other NWC members of the ADC were duly elected and ordered INEC to give due recognition to them.
