The National Coordinator of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) North-West Alliance for Good Governance, Hon. Abdullahi Umar has dismissed allegation credited to the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had infiltrated the party.
Dismissing the allegation, Umar described the claims, and what he called Kachikwu’s repeatedly engagement as “needless and unsubstantiated” attacks on the party leadership.
Speaking on the leadership of the party, Umar noted that, “The leadership crisis under Mr. Ralph Nwosu has long been resolved, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fully recognising the new leadership led by former Senate President Senator David Mark as Interim National Chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as Interim National Secretary.”
He alleged that, “Kachikwu falsely accused our leadership of forgery. Without any credible grounds to challenge the leadership in court, he is desperately making baseless allegations. Nigerians are watching.”
He emphasised that the ADC remains committed to building a credible grassroots base that reflects the aspirations of the masses.
“While Kachikwu and his allies focus on propping up a failed APC government, the ADC is dedicated to creating an inclusive platform to deliver the Nigeria we all desire,” Umar added.
