ADC Coalition Conceived To Derail Nigerian Project

All Progressives Congress (APC) South West has described the coalition spearheaded by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a mere distraction aimed at derailing the Nigerian Project, tagged the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu administration.

In a statement at the weekend, the party’s publicity secretary, South-West, Mr. Ayobami Afolabi, said the orchestrated efforts by some politicians, particularly from the ADC, to unseat the president in 2027 were mere comedy shows.

It would be recalled that some political players have made public their readiness to forge a common front in their desire to dislodge the APC government at the centre.

They planned to do so like how the same APC shockingly defeated the President Goodluck Jonathan-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government in the 2015 elections.

According to the party,  the current anti-Tinubu crusaders have nothing to offer Nigeria and Nigerians.

It added that the coalition of the ADC and some other political parties is comprised of failed politicians who lack ideas on adding value. They have contributed to the Aegean’s stables, which the present APC administration is cleansing.

“It is evident that those behind the ill-conceived coalition against the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 presidential election are people who should be remorseful.

“They should be remorseful for their individual or collective contributions to the socio-economic and political challenges the country is now struggling to overcome.

“These are former vice presidents, governors, ministers, top political appointees and heads of MDAs whose scorecards are nothing to write home about, and they still want to return to power.

“As a matter of fact, this set of people know that President Bola Tinubu is doing well, but the spirit of self-entitlement, self-aggrandisement and insincerity in them would always get the better of them.

“Fortunately, most Nigerians have come to realise that President Tinubu has come to put the country on the right track of prosperity, stability and sustainable growth as evident in the bold steps he has taken to fix the country.

“However, it is still not too late for the sponsors of the alliance against Tinubu to realise the errors in their anti-people activities since it is certain that they cannot succeed in their mission.

“This is based on the small sample that voters showed in the recent by-elections conducted across 12 states in which the APC won more than 75 per cent of the total number of state and federal legislative seats contested.

“Our dear President Tinubu cannot be distracted as he is poised to succeed in his mission beyond 2027,” the party added.
