This event that is scheduled to take place in November is expected to serve as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge agro-mechanization technologies and foster strategic partnerships in the agriculture sector, ACCI said in a statement yesterday.
The president of ACCI, Emeka Obegolu, said the ACCI, as a leading chamber of commerce, is fully committed to supporting initiatives that enhance Nigeria’s economic landscape. He said the event will offer a valuable platform for stakeholders eager to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at boosting the agricultural value chain and improving financing models for the sector.
Dr Obegolu said the expo represents a crucial aspect of agricultural marketing, a field upon which individuals, firms, and governments depend for their survival and growth. He reaffirmed the ACCI’s commitment to fostering collaborations that advance the objectives of all involved parties through effective marketing strategies and skills.
The event would be attended by the president of AfreximBank, Okey Oramah who is the keynote speaker. Professor Oramah will speak on the topic, “Agricultural Financing and its Value Chain in Nigeria in Particular and Africa at Large.” His presentation is expected to delve into the factors and activities that add value to agricultural products from farm to fork, providing insights into optimising the agricultural financing process.
The expo aims to create a platform for industry players, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore opportunities for partnerships and investments. It will attract a diverse range of participants, including government representatives from Nigeria and abroad, agricultural machinery manufacturers and suppliers, food processing technology companies, agribusiness entrepreneurs and investors, research institutions, academia, farmers, agricultural workers, trade associations, and industry experts.
Media officer for ACCI, Olayemi John-Mensah said among other highlights, the expo will provide businesses and entrepreneurs in the agro-allied sector with opportunities for technology transfer, content building, market access, and capacity development.
She said experts and thought leaders will share valuable insights and trade secrets relevant to the sector, offering attendees a unique learning experience.
The FARMFATECH expo is expected to be graced by governors of the Nigerian state along with various agencies and financial institutions working with the State as Institutional Partners.
