Chairman of Roxettes Group, Dr. Kaycee Orji, has said Africa’s young industrialists are taking the lead in driving economic growth across the continent, noting that they are no longer waiting for policy commitments to be implemented.
Orji stated this at the Nigeria House, Davos, during the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. He spoke on the theme, “Africa’s Young Industrialists Are Done Waiting: We Are Building the Economy We Were Promised.”
According to him, Africa’s economic transformation will be driven mainly by private-sector leadership, youth-led industrial expansion and targeted investments. He said young industrialists are already establishing businesses, creating jobs and contributing to economic development across key sectors.
Orji added that Nigeria House at Davos provides an essential platform for African business leaders to engage with global investors, policymakers and development partners on sustainable industrialisation and inclusive growth.
