Akpabio, Abiru Eulogise Remi Tinubu At 65

President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Abiru, have joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the 65th birthday of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, describing her as a beacon of love, strength, and national service.

In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja, by Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, special adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President, Senator Akpabio, praised the First Lady for her enduring contributions to the welfare of the less privileged and her unwavering support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Your Excellency, our dear Mother of the Nation, Wife of the President and First Lady of the Nation, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is a loving mother, the pillar of love and strength to the husband, the downtrodden, and the nation at large,” he said.

He commended her for her compassion and philanthropy, especially through the Renewed Hope Initiative Empowerment Programme, which he described as a symbol of her commitment to uplifting lives across the country.

“You’ve proven time and again that love and the milk of kindness flow endlessly in your veins,” Akpabio said, adding that her support has been instrumental in helping the president deliver on his national mandate.

Speaking on behalf of the Senate, National Assembly, his constituents, and family, Akpabio extended warm birthday wishes, praising her for her role in women’s empowerment, youth development, and education.

“Your life has been a testament to dedication, compassion, and service to our great nation,” he concluded.

Also felicitating with the First Lady, Senator Mukhail Abiru, in a joint statement with his wife, Mrs. Feyisola Abiru, paid glowing tribute to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, calling her a “true amazon” and an enduring symbol of public service and compassion.

The couple, who referred to the First Lady by her traditional title, Iya Oba of Ikorodu, praised her humility, resilience, and leadership in advancing progressive democratic values.

“On behalf of the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, we joyfully extend our heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency, Senator (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu… as she marks her 65th birthday,” the statement read.

Highlighting her legacy of advocacy for the vulnerable and her impactful humanitarian efforts, the Abirus noted that her initiatives, particularly through the Renewed Hope Initiative, have transformed countless lives across various sectors of society.

“Your unwavering commitment to public service, leadership in preserving progressive democratic ideals, and tireless advocacy for the vulnerable stand as a lasting testament to your legacy,” they said.

They concluded by praying for her continued strength and grace in her service to the nation.

“May the Almighty God bless you abundantly, grant the desires of your heart, and endow you with greater grace and vitality to remain an icon of hope, inspiration, and leadership for many Nigerians,” the statement added.
