As Akwa Ibom State turns 36 today, the wife of the governor, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, has appealed to the people to bury the sentiments of party politics and join hands with her husband to consolidate on the achievements of successive administrations in the last 36 years.

Addressing residents and indigenes in the Diaspora as part of activities marking the  creation of the state, Mrs Eno appealed for all hands to be on the deck to ensure the success of the ‘Arise Agenda’ blueprint enunciated by her husband to further chart the course of development.

While noting the steady progress made by the previous governors, the first lady expressed confidence in the present government’s  capacity to deliver on campaign promises, describing the governor as “a man of sincerity, commitment and passion for service.”
