ALAT Innovation Head, Ayodele, Kick-starts Masterclass For 5,000 Tech StartUps

Following the success of the just concluded Hackaholics, ALAT by Wema, Nigeria’s digital bank has announced the maiden edition of its Hackaholics Masterclass, managed by the Innovation Team of the Bank.

The acceleration programme, which is aimed at helping tech enthusiasts and innovators scale and gain entrance into the market, is targeted at young Nigerians who will put their coding, product curation, and pitching skills to work, by solving interesting problems.

The MasterClass was birthed with the mission of providing resources and guidance to early and idea stage founders to build and scale their business. It will run for 6 weeks and have about 100 young and early stage entrepreneurs from various parts of Nigeria participate.

It will feature 12 facilitators who are accomplished Startup founders and seasoned business operators who run business ventures with global footprints in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Nigeria.

The goal for next year is to grow the Hackaolics community to become one of the largest, most engaged and vibrant communities with over 1000 idea / early stage innovators and entrepreneurs who will shape the future of Business and Technology.

Speaking on the initiative, the Head of Innovation & Corporate Transformation, ALATByWema Bank, Solomon Ayodele, said: “We’ve decided to take the engagement with our Hackaholics community a step further by ensuring we build a base where they can refine their business model, co-create their ideas and be able to job-shadow successful founders within our ecosystem. This is no doubt one of the defining steps we are taking this year, as we approach our audacious goal of becoming Africa’s digital dominant bank. This masterclass isn’t limited to Hackaholic Alumni alone but Entrepreneurs across board who are open and willing to scale their ideas and do much more within the Tech ecosystem’
