Amidst hike in aviation fuel also known as Jet A1 and scarcity of foreign exchange, Dana Air, on Monday, announced a slash in airfare to N45,000.

The airline, in a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP by the spokesman, Kingsley Ezenwa, disclosed that it will be introducing a flash sale of N45,000 for those who plan their trips early enough and book ahead.

Recall that local airlines under the aegis of Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), have pegged economy ticket at N50,000 due to the excruciating operating environment.

The association cited the high cost of jet A1 fuel, forex scarcity, double digit inflation, increase in ground handling charges, cost of buying and bringing spare parts, among others as reasons for the increase.

Ezenwa, also disclosed that Dana Air has taken delivery of some of its aircraft from maintenance.
