Anambra Police Ask Owners To Come Forward To Claim 14 Recovered Stolen Vehicles

The Anambra State Police Command has called on the owners of fourteen stolen vehicles recovered by its anti-crime squad to come forward to claim them.

Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Tochukwu Ikenga who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the vehicles which are of different vehicle manufacturing companies are at the premises of State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Amawbia.

 

Ikenga stated that the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Itam has directed members of the public who had their vehicles snatched or stolen, either by armed robbers or any other criminals to go to the SCID with “proof of ownership” to claim their vehicles.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam wishes to assure members of the public that the Command is committed to ensuring that stolen properties are not only recovered, but returned to their rightful owners to assuage the sense of deprivation the victims of such crimes go through”, the Anambra state police spokesperson said.

 

 

He listed the vehicles and their plate numbers as a space wagon (Reg. No.: NNE 48 AS), Golf (Reg. No. THE 479 AA), Shuttle bus (Reg. No.AGU 364 ZW), Mitsubishi bus ( Reg. N. CN 25 ABJ), Shuttle bus (Reg. No. JJT 442 ZF), Shuttle bus (Reg No. AWK 913 ZQ), TVS Tricycle (Reg No. AAH 410 VW) and Topstsar motorcycle (no reg. number).

 

Others, according to the statement include Honda Today, Honda Cub, Sanyang, as well as a Keystone and another Honda Today motorcycle without registration numbers.
