Two members have lost their lives during the just-concluded National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Abuja.
The deceased were Hadiza Sabo Warrah, the councillor representing Warrah Ward, and Sahabi Alheri, the councillor for Birnin Yauri Ward of Ngaski local government area of Kebbi State.
Another victim was Abubakar Sadiq, the senior special assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Social Media.
According to a statement by the special adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Yahaya Sarki, the trio died after they were knocked down by a moving vehicle on a roadside while crossing after their vehicle stopped on their way to Abuja to attend the APC Convention.
Governor Nasir Idris, in his condolences to the families of the deceased, said he received the information of their death with shock and prayed to Allah to forgive them of their sins.
Idris said the deceased had left a vacuum as they were unable to make their contributions to the development of the state.
