The zonal working committee and chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the North-East zone have said it is only their party that can provide the much-needed solution to the current challenges facing the nation, hence it is the last hope of Nigerians.

The party said the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration has brought untold hardships to the generality of Nigerians and no proactive measures are being taken to remedy the situation.

The party during its zonal meeting led by the zonal secretary Kabiru Bappa Jauro in Bauchi yesterday noted that since the inception of democratic rule in 1999, the PDP had been dominant in the Northeast sub region, producing a vice president, former/serving governors, former/serving national chairmen, former/serving national Assembly and state Assembly members.

A communique at the end of the meeting read by Alhaji Tahir Shehu, the PDP chairman in Adamawa State, said the party had tremendously contributed to the socio economic development of the Northeast zone, and Nigeria at large.
