The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatada, has said the party continued to strengthen its nationwide presence, claiming electoral victories across multiple regions of the country.
Speaking during a media chat aired live on some television stations on Wednesday night, Yilwatada said the APC’s recent performance in by-elections reflectsed what he described as growing national acceptance and organisational strength.
He stated that the party had secured wins across different geopolitical zones, including the South-West, South-South, South-East, North-East, North-West, and North-Central, adding that this spread demonstrated the APC’s expanding influence.
According to him, the party’s structure and membership base cut across diverse segments of the population, positioning it as a “dominant and future-focused political platform.”
Yilwatada also emphasised internal reforms within the party, noting efforts to strengthen membership registration, political education, and internal democracy.
He added that the APC has submitted its audited accounts for external review as part of efforts to improve transparency and accountability.
He said the party remained committed to consolidating its gains and ensuring stronger governance structures ahead of future elections.
