APC South-East Hails Successful House Of Representatives Primaries

The national vice-chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has applauded the successful and peaceful conduct of the party’s House of Representatives primaries held across the five states of the Southeast geopolitical zone.

Dr. Arodiogbu in a statement, described the exercise as a resounding success that reflected the growing unity and internal democracy within the party in the region. He noted that the primaries were marked by high levels of transparency, orderliness, and massive participation by party members.

The APC chieftain specifically commended Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his unwavering support and strategic leadership.

According to Dr. Arodiogbu, Governor Uzodimma’s continuous guidance and commitment played a pivotal role in ensuring the exercise was transparent, credible, and hitch free.

“Governor Uzodimma’s dedication to the party’s success in the Southeast has been exemplary. His support provided the necessary framework for a smooth and credible primary process,” Arodiogbu stated.

He also extended appreciation to the elected officials of the party across the zone for their exemplary conduct during the primaries.

Dr. Arodiogbu equally thanked all party members for trooping out en masse to participate actively in the democratic process, describing their turnout as a clear demonstration of renewed confidence in the APC’s leadership and vision for the region. He also congratulated the winners and urged them to be humble in victory and to remain resolute as the party works towards a resounding victory in 2027.

Looking ahead, the national vice-chairman assured party faithful that the upcoming governorship primaries would equally be conducted seamlessly and without any hitches. He called on all members to remain united and committed as the party prepares for the general elections.

Dr. Arodiogbu also disclosed that according to reports made available to him by the electoral committee and the election monitors appointed by the party’s National Working Committee, the aspirants elected in Abia State include: Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu (Bende), Hon. Nkiruka Onyejeocha (Isuikwuato/Umunneochi), Hon. Uzor Azubuike (Aba North/Aba South), Hon. Chinedum Orji (Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South), Hon. Uzoma Theodore Uka (Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South), Hon. Udo Alozie (Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo), and Hon. Ikenna Nicholas (Arochukwu/Ohafia).

Elected aspirants in Imo State include: Ngozi Pat-Ekeji (Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala), Chukwudi Anyanwuocha (Ahiazu/Ezinihitte), Sandra Inyama (Ideato North/South), Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo (Orlu/Orsu/Oru East), Jonas Okeke (Okigwe South), Uchenna Agasu (Okigwe North), Dibiagwu Eugene (Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru-West), Cosmos Maduba (Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu/Njaba), Akarachi Amadi (Mbaitoli/Ikeduru), and Tochi Okere (Owerri).

In Enugu State, elected aspirants include: Dr. F.S.A Uzor (Udi/Ezeagu), Hon Mark Chidi Obetta (Nsukka/Igbo Eze South), Hon Dennis Agbo (Igbo-eze North/Udenu), Hon Cornel Onwubuya (Uzowani/Igbo-Etiti), Chimobi Sam Atu (Enugu North/South), Nnolim Nnaji (Nkanu-East/West), Anayo Onwuegbu (Aninri/Oji River/Awgu), and Chijioke Edeoga (Enugu East/Isiuzo).

Richard Egenti (Aniocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia), Barr. Kingsley Ezekwelu (Idemili North/South), Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu (Ogbaru), Rt Hon Linda Ikpeazu (Onitsha North/South), Mrs Ifeoma Chukwuma (Anambra East/West), and Hon Obinna Christopher Okafor (Oyi/Ayamelum).
