Ahead of the September 2024 gubernatorial election in Edo State, a support group, Project 2024, has been inaugurated to mobilise for the All Progressives Congress (APC), its flagbearer, Senator Monday Okpebholo and running mate, Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
The group was inaugurated yesterday in Benin City and the event was attended by hundreds of supporters of Okpebholo.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the spokesperson for the group, Dr. Omon Ebosele, said it would promote and advance the course of Okpebholo and Idahosa.
Ebosele said the group also strategised to mobilise massive and unprecedented support for the APC candidate.
He said, “The group has commenced the mobilization of human and material resources for the Sen. Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa joint ticket.
“The Think Tank group draws membership from all walks of life. The aim of the group is to promote and advance the course of APC going into the 2024 Governorship election campaigns,” he said.
Ebosele who is the leader of Project 2024 boasted that the group has set in motion plans to harvest large members of opposition parties to strengthen the numerical advantage of APC across the 18 local government areas of Edo State.
