APM Begins Zonal Town Hall Meetings In Katsina

The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) Presidential Campaign Organization has announced the commencement of its zonal town hall meetings across the six geo-political zones as part of its nationwide consultation and grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The Campaign Organization disclosed this at a press briefing yesterday in Abuja.

Addressing journalists, the Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to the presidential candidate of the APM, Tony Ehilebo, said the town hall meetings are scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in Katsina, Katsina State, for the North-West zone.

According to Ehilebo, the campaign train will move to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, September 25, 2026, for the South-South zonal meeting; Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Monday, September 28, 2026, for the North-Central zone, and round off the month with the South-East zonal meeting in Enugu, Enugu State, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

He said dates for the remaining zones would be communicated in due course.

Ehilebo said the meetings will be issue-based and citizen-driven, focusing on critical national issues that directly affect the stability of the nation and the wellbeing of citizens.

He said the presidential candidate of the APM, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and his running mate, Alh. Lawal Daura, are set to engage Nigerians directly on their agenda to reset the country.

“Our presidential candidate is renowned for his strong affinity and bond with Nigerians, irrespective of class, ethnicity and creed. Our campaign belongs to the people. Our message is to Reset Nigeria to a nation that truly works for all,” he said.

“We are set to Reset Nigeria to a nation where leaders are accessible, accountable and service-driven; where the resources of the nation are transparently applied for the good of all; where the hard work and resourcefulness of citizens are valued and where their views are respected.”

Ehilebo said the Reset Nigeria message is resonating across the country and that the campaign has become a grassroots movement with unprecedented momentum ahead of the 2027 election.

He noted that since the emergence of Governor Makinde as the APM presidential candidate, Nigerians across the country have continued to show solidarity and goodwill, reflected in recent off-cycle and bye-elections, including the APM’s victory in the Bauchi State House of Assembly bye-election at the weekend.

The campaign organization invited Nigerians to participate in the town hall meetings and thanked citizens for their support.

“We use this opportunity to invite Nigerians to the Makinde/Daura presidential campaign town hall meetings while also thanking all citizens for their solidarity as we work hard to ensure the victory of the APM and Engr. Makinde in the 2027 presidential election,” Ehilebo added.
