Arsenal have secured a place in the UEFA Champions League final for only the second time in their history, defeating Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the second leg of the semi-final on Tuesday. The Londoners advanced to the final on a 2-1 aggregate victory.

The Gunners, buoyed by a passionate home crowd at the Emirates Stadium, delivered a spirited performance that culminated in a crucial goal from star boy Bukayo Saka just before half-time. The young winger found the back of the net in the 44th minute, striking a left-footed shot from close range into the bottom right corner after a well-executed build-up.

Arsenal entered the match with a 1-1 draw from the first leg in Madrid, making the stakes high. The first half saw both teams exchange fleeting chances, but it was Arsenal who looked more dangerous. Despite several attempts to break the deadlock, it wasn’t until Saka’s strike that the home side could breathe a sigh of relief.

The second half was marked by a series of substitutions and tactical adjustments from both sides. Atletico, under pressure to equalise, ramped up their efforts, but Arsenal’s defence, marshalled by Gabriel Magalhães and Saliba held firm.

Despite late attempts from Atletico, including a close-range shot from Marcos Llorente that was expertly saved by David Raya, Arsenal maintained their composure to secure their lead and ultimately sealed the victory to the delight of their teem fans.
