Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has offered an update on the fitness of his squad as they prepare to host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
The “Gunners” are aiming to extend their lead over Manchester City at the top of the table to 12 points with a victory at the Emirates Stadium.
Concerns were raised after Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, Piero Hincapie, Riccardo Calafiori, and Jurrien Timber all missed Thursday’s training session.
When questioned about their availability, Arteta remained somewhat evasive, stating: “Yeah there have been changes there since yesterday. I don’t know. Some of them.”
However, Arteta provided a more definitive update on Eberechi Eze, confirming his availability.
“He is available. My first conversation with him after felt that niggle he wanted to be available the next week. That was not possible.
“The recovery, the way he has shown to get back, the way he has pushed.”
This news will be a boost for Arsenal as they look to maintain their strong league form.
