The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA 2026) has reiterated its dedication to hosting a secure, well-organised, and successful sporting event in Asaba, Delta State.
The commitment was reaffirmed during a two-day strategic conference held from Friday to Saturday in Asaba, which also included an inspection of the sporting facilities earmarked for the games. The Nigeria Police Games are scheduled to take place from 7th to 14th February 2026.
Led by Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) Fom Pam Joseph, Chairman of the Force Sports Planning Committee, the conference and inspection aimed to refine operational plans, logistics, and coordination for the event. Discussions, under the theme “Beyond The Badge: Excellence In Action,” focused on venue readiness, security, accommodation, transportation, medical services, and general logistics, with an emphasis on ensuring a seamless and professionally coordinated festival.
Following the conference, the committee toured various sporting facilities, evaluating infrastructure, safety standards, and overall suitability for the athletes and officials expected from police commands nationwide. The LOC assured the public that preparations are progressing steadily.
Attendees included senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force, such as AIG Suleiman Abdul, Commissioner of Police (CP) Dantawaye Miller, CP Hassan Gwani, CP Osifo Emefiele, and the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Aina Adesola, among other senior officers and LOC members.
