The Children of Drivers and Fishermen Association of Warri Kingdom (CODAFA) has commended the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, for the peace and progress that have characterised his reign in the kingdom.
The association’s chairman, Comrade Romeo Diden made the commendation during a visit to the palace (Aghofen) of the Olu of Warri to pay homage and celebrate the monarch’s 4th coronation anniversary, “Uge Oyo Ekoro”.
CODAFA praised the monarch for bringing peace, love, unity, and development to the Itsekiri nation and Warri kingdom, describing him as caring, kind, loving, tolerant, and compassionate.
According to them,” Ogiame Atuwatse III’s reign has brought peace, love, unity, and development to the Itsekiri nation and Warri Kingdom in general, and we are so happy. That is why we are here celebrating, and we pray for sound health, long life, and the grace to continue to pilot the affairs of the Warri Kingdom.
“We want to use this medium to appreciate our father and monarchs for their contributions to our rich cultural heritage and the development he has brought to the kingdom. He is caring, kind, loving, tolerant and compassionate.
They expressed gratitude to God for bestowing the kingdom with such a wise and caring monarch.
The celebration, marked with pomp and pageantry, highlighted the importance of traditional institutions to the Iwere nation and Warri Kingdom and also provided an opportunity for the Itsekiri ethnic nationality to appreciate the role of the Warri monarch in promoting peace, stability, and cultural development.
