Speaking to our correspondence during the event, Obiako said ATANI Communications has played a vital role in deploying cutting-edge Satellite networks across Nigeria.

Obiako’s pioneering achievements include implementing traffic backhaul services using VSAT Technology in 2003-2004, rapidly expanding telephony penetration in Nigeria and creating global business opportunities.

Obiako emphasised that Satellite technology is crucial to today’s digital economy, enabling rapid data transfer that supports critical sectors like healthcare, e-commerce, and education.

“The demand for robust and inclusive networks is not just technical but also an economic imperative,” Obiako stated.

In partnership with government and private organisations, ATANI aims to make internet access widely available, which can help drive economic growth, improve education, and foster cross-cultural understanding.

As Nigeria anticipates the rollout of 5G and plans for 6G, ATANI Communications is investing in emerging technologies to enhance network security and efficiency.

Obiako expressed the company’s commitment to a future where “technology uplifts every community, leaving no one behind.”

He concluded that through sustainable practices and innovations in eco-friendly technologies, ATANI celebrates the transformative power of telecommunications to create a more connected and inclusive world.
