Awoniyi Celebrates 100th Forest Appearance With Commemorative Jersey

Taiwo Awoniyi has been recognised by Nottingham Forest for reaching a major career milestone—his 100th appearance for the club.

The Premier League side presented the Nigerian striker with a special shirt to mark the occasion. Teammates and staff honored him during Friday’s training session.

Awoniyi’s century came two weeks ago in Forest’s impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where he scored twice.

Addressing his teammates after receiving the shirt, the 28-year-old said: “Thank you, everyone. None of this would have been possible without you—for all you’ve done this season, for keeping us in the Premier League, for where we stand.”

This season, Awoniyi has recorded four goals and one assist in 15 league matches for the Tricky Trees. He joined Forest from Union Berlin in 2022.
