Awujale Stool: Fusengbuwa Ruling House Disowns K1 De Ultimate

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has rejected the application of iconic Fuji musician, Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale Olasunkannmi Adesanya, popularly known as K1 de Ultimate.

Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde had filled his form to indicate interest to be considered for the influential throne of the Awujale of Ijebu land.

The rejection was contained in a letter dated December 11, 2025, and signed on behalf of the ruling house by its Chairman, Otunba Lateef Owoyemi; the Vice Chairman, Chief (Prof.) Fassy A. O. Yusuf; the General Secretary, Pastor Prince Bola Salami; Deputy Chairman, Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba; the Head of Jadiara Royal House, Otunba Akinola Odedina and Co-Head of the Jadiara Royal House, Alh. Adebisi Quadri.

The letter reads, “We write to confirm the receipt of the above completed form dated 10th December 2025 and signed by your good self.

“Curiously, the form was certified by a purported family unit head, one Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo on 8th December 2025, two days before your good self signed it. In other words, the form was pre-signed,” they said.

In rejecting K1’s application, the ruling house maintained that the form was not signed by the authorised representative (Family Head) of the musician’s family unit head.

They also held that Omoba Eruobodo is not a registered member of the Jadiara Royal House and “therefore, has no locus standi to sign any linkage form on behalf of the family.

The family also disclosed that its “extensive investigation” has not revealed any proof of Fuji musician’s membership of the Jadiara or that of Fusengbuwa Ruling Houses.

“Consequenty, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence.

“For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected and the completed form is of no consequence.

“Please accept our best wishes for your future endeavours,” the ruling house said.
