Azeez Drafted In As Chukwueze Misses Super Eagles Friendlies Against Poland, Portugal

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has called up forward Femi Azeez to replace Samuel Chukwueze in Nigeria’s squad for the forthcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.

Chukwueze has been excused from both fixtures on compassionate grounds following the burial of his late mother in Abia State earlier this week.

The absence of the experienced winger represents a temporary setback for the three-time African champions, but it opens the door for Azeez, who has already made a strong impression in national colours.
