Bandits Abduct 5 Persons, Including 1-Month-Old Baby In Kaduna

Suspected bandits have reportedly abducted five persons, including a one-month-old baby, in Mararaban Kajuru, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The victims were reportedly kidnapped at about 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in Mararaban Kajuru, Kufana Ward.

A community security update circulating on Tuesday disclosed the incident, raising concerns over the safety of the victims.

The update read in part, “At about 1a.m. in Mararaban Kajuru of Kufana ward, Kajuru LGA, Kaduna State, 5 people have been confirmed kidnapped by terrorists, including a child of 1 month old, within the past few weeks this morning.

“Let’s pray for their safe return in Jesus name.”

However, the update did not provide details of how the abduction occurred or disclose the identities of the victims.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Kaduna State Police Command nor the state Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs had issued an official statement on the incident.
