Barau Celebrates First Lady Oluremi Tinubu At 65

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin has congratulated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu on the occasion of her 65th birthday celebration on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau praised the First Lady’s contributions to national development through her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

“I join all Nigerians and other well-wishers across the world in congratulating Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on the occasion of her 65th birthday today.

“A patriotic Nigerian par excellence, Her Excellency’s contributions to the deepening of democracy in our country have been immense, exemplary, and innovative.

“Through her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Her Excellency—the Mother of the Nation—has been making a significant impact in addressing the challenges facing our country since 2023.

“Her contributions to nation-building did not start today. As First Lady of Lagos State (1999–2007), she positively impacted the lives of millions of women, children, and youths through the New Era Foundation.

“In the Senate, from 2011 to 2023, where she represented Lagos Central, she was unwavering in addressing national challenges through the various committees she chaired and served on.

“I pray that God grants Her Excellency long life, sound health, and wisdom in her continued support of President Bola Tinubu as he works to deliver the Renewed Hope Agenda for the peace and progress of our dear nation.

“Once again, happy birthday, Your Excellency—the Mother of the Nation,” he said.
