Barcelona director Deco has confirmed that a club actually made a move to sign Lamine Yamal last season.

He said the club was French giants, PSG, who were eager to get the sensational attacker when the Spain international burst onto the scene.

The offer was made after the youngster helped Spain win the Euros over the summer.

Deco, a former Barça and Chelsea star, told RAC1 that the rumours that have been making rounds about the French side’s interest in the player were facts.

“Yes, last season, not this one yet, but what we want is for him to stay. We don’t want to listen to offers, PSG asked, but Real Madrid didn’t,” he said.
