FC Barcelona have once again been crowned La Liga champions, securing their second consecutive title under manager Hansi Flick after a resounding 2-0 victory over rivals Real Madrid in a thrilling El Clásico at Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday night. The win extends Barcelona’s lead at the top of the table to an unassailable 14 points, with the league campaign now officially decided.

The Catalan giants wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Marcus Rashford opening the scoring in the 9th minute with a superb free-kick that curled into the top left corner, leaving Thibaut Courtois with no chance. Just nine minutes later, Ferran Torres doubled Barcelona’s advantage, slotting home from close range after an excellent assist from Dani Olmo.

Real Madrid, despite moments of attacking intent, struggled to break down a resolute Barcelona defense. The likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Júnior found opportunities hard to come by, often thwarted by strong defensive performances from Pau Cubarsí and Eric García.

The second half saw a more balanced affair, with both teams creating chances. Robert Lewandowski, a second-half substitute for Barcelona, tested Courtois with a powerful left-footed shot, while Real Madrid’s César Palacios and Aurélien Tchouaméni also came close. However, Barcelona’s early goals proved decisive, and they expertly managed the game to secure the vital three points.
