The council maintained that its decision was informed by the fact that the process of turbaning the traditional title holders by the District Head of Galambi was contrary to established guidelines for such appointment.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the District Head of Galambi, Alh. Shehu Adamu Jumba, who is the Danlawal of Bauchi Emirate, had appointed and turbaned six persons at his palace as Galadiman Danlawal, Majidadin Danlawal, Wakilin Dokan Danlawal, Wakilin Gonan Danlawal, Sarkin Dajin Danlawal as well as Hardon Danlawal, respectively.

The Bauchi Emirate Council also barred the District Head from carrying such appointment for a period of one year with effect from November 7, 2023, adding that he must always ensure that any turbaning process must be in accordance with established guidelines and regulations within the Emirate.
