Bauchi State governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and followers of the late Sheikh Dr. Idris Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi, a revered Islamic scholar who recently passed away.
Leading a delegation of senior government officials, Governor Mohammed visited the late Sheikh’s family to offer sympathies for himself, his family, the government, and the people of Bauchi State.
Describing Sheikh Idris as a fearless preacher dedicated to the authentic teachings of Islam, justice, and the rule of law, the governor noted that his passing was a great loss to the state, a loss of wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual leadership.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the late Sheikh Aljannatul Firdaus and to bless his family with the strength to bear the loss.
In a significant show of respect, Governor Mohammed pledged to restore the Games Village Eid Ground for the benefit of the mosque and the late Sheikh’s followers. He also stated that he had forgiven all past misunderstandings between himself and the deceased.
Responding on behalf of the family and the wider Muslim community, Malam Yau and Alhaji Shehu Barau Ningi expressed deep gratitude for the governor’s visit and his kind remarks.
Alhaji Shehu further emphasized the importance of the Games Village Eid Ground, noting that the late Sheikh had long aspired to restore it.
