The Bauchi State government has promised to pay the external examination fees for all SS3 students of the Special Education Centre (SEC) in the state.
A statement yesterday by the information officer, Bauchi State Ministry of Education, Jalaludeen Usman, said the special education centre is for children with special needs, providing them with quality education and support to help them thrive.
He said the Governor Bala Mohammed-led administration is dedicated to promoting inclusive education and ensuring that every child has access to quality learning opportunities.
“By covering the external examination fees for the SS3 students of the Special Education Centre, the government is taking a significant step towards removing barriers to education and empowering these students to reach their full potential.
“This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity in the education sector. It is a testament to Bauchi State’s determination to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all learners, paving the way for a brighter future for the next generation.
“Through an initiative like this, the Bauchi State government is building a more inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed,” the statement read.
