It was gathered that the deceased simply identified as Kingsley was electrocuted while he was trying to reconnect damaged cable on the high-tension cable transmitting current to Uwheru, Patani, Bomadi and other communities in the state.
A source from Evwreni who spoke under anonymous condition disclosed that Kingsley climbed the high-tension pole and in the process of working, light was restored.

“He is from the Evwreni community and we have known him as a BEDC Staff all these years until the unfortunate incident occurred on Monday afternoon,” the source said.
When contacted, the BEDC public relations officer, (PRO), Evelyn Gbiwen said she was on leave and has not been briefed.

“Now that you have told me, let me do my findings, if anything of such happened, it will be mailed to the email box,” she said. The mail did come as at the time of filing this report.
