Benue APC Hails Tinubu, Alia For Deepening Democratic Governance

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for what it described as their commitment to strengthening democratic governance, institutional reforms and sustainable development.

The party made the commendation in a Democracy Day statement issued by the Benue State APC Chairman, Benjamin Omale, as Nigerians marked the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.

According to the party, Democracy Day remains a significant milestone in Nigeria’s political history, symbolising the triumph of constitutional governance, the rule of law and the collective will of the people.

The APC said President Tinubu’s administration, through the Renewed Hope Agenda, has continued to implement critical policy reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening governance institutions and laying a solid foundation for long-term national development.

The party noted that the administration’s efforts have reinforced democratic values and promoted reforms designed to address key national challenges while expanding opportunities for growth and prosperity.

It also praised Governor Alia’s administration for initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, enhancing public service delivery, strengthening security and advancing reforms in agriculture, healthcare and education across Benue State.

According to the APC, Governor Alia’s leadership style has helped build public confidence in government through accountability, transparency and people-centred policies targeted at improving citizens’ welfare.

The party urged Nigerians to remain committed to democratic principles, peaceful coexistence and active participation in governance, stressing that democracy thrives best in an atmosphere of unity, tolerance and shared responsibility.

It further reaffirmed its support for the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor Alia, maintaining that both leaders have demonstrated commitment to good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to Nigerians.

The APC called on citizens to continue supporting efforts aimed at consolidating democratic gains and promoting peace, development and national progress.
