Beware Of Fraudsters, ATBU Warns Job, Admission Seekers

The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi State has warned members of the public against the activities of fraudsters who parade themselves as employers of labour.
The university said there were reports of extortion of unsuspecting job seekers with the promise of offering them jobs in the school.

In a press release issued to journalists by Alhaji Zailani Bappa, director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the institution the university, it further said there are reports of misguided persons touting in the name of the university to unsuspecting admission seekers who want to join the university in various academic pursuits.

“The management hereby informs the general public that the university is not in the process of employing staff in any capacity, nor has it employed any persons to aid the process on its behalf. This also applies to the admission exercise which has its official procedure as well,” it said.
It added, “The public should be wary of these fraudulent persons and report anybody who advances financial requests to them in the name of finding for them either a job or admission in the University. Persons seeking any genuine information regarding the University are advised to visit our website, www.atbu.edu.ng.”
