BoldBrick Constructions and Works Ltd has entered into a partnership with a Chinese state-owned construction company, YCIH, to deliver a 560-unit housing project in Abuja, marking a major Nigeria–China collaboration in the real estate sector.
The managing director of BoldBrick, Suleiman Gimba, said the Chinese firm’s entry into Nigeria followed extensive technical engagements aimed at deploying China’s construction expertise to support modern residential development in the country.
According to Gimba, YCIH has completed all regulatory and registration requirements since entering the Nigerian market and is now fully operational.
He revealed that the partnership’s flagship development, Unreal Mansion, will be located in Karsana, Abuja, and is designed as a modern residential estate that blends innovation, technology, and sustainable urban planning.
Gimba explained that the project will deliver 560 high-end housing units equipped with smart-home technology to meet evolving lifestyle and housing needs.
He added that both firms have formalised their collaboration through an exclusive cooperation agreement that will see them jointly execute construction projects across Nigeria.
Under the agreement, BoldBrick will provide local market expertise, while YCIH will contribute its technical capacity, engineering systems, and extensive experience in large-scale project delivery.
Gimba further disclosed that preparations for site mobilisation have been concluded following a recent high-level meeting between both companies, with construction expected to commence by the end of February or early March.
Designed as a premium residential community, Unreal Mansion will feature advanced smart-home systems, modern infrastructure, and sustainable design elements, aligning with the partners’ vision of redefining luxury housing in Nigeria.
In his remarks, the general manager of YCIH Nigeria, Mr. Yang Weifeng, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering projects that meet international standards while addressing Nigeria’s growing urban housing demands.
He described the collaboration as a long-term strategic partnership and noted that the project represents a significant milestone in strengthening structured cooperation between China and Nigeria in the real estate and construction sector.
Weifeng added that with regulatory approvals secured and construction timelines clearly defined, the BoldBrick–YCIH partnership is positioning Unreal Mansion as one of the most anticipated residential developments in Abuja.
