Boniface To Undergo Surgery, Out For Rest Of Season

Victor Boniface is set to undergo knee surgery, as confirmed by Werder Bremen. The Nigerian international has been sidelined since December due to a persistent knee issue. After consultations with a specialist in Austria, the decision was made for Boniface to have surgery, resulting in him missing the remainder of the season.

The loan agreement between Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen will remain intact until the season’s end, with the club expressing relief at finding a solution. “We are pleased to have clarity for all parties involved,” the club stated.

Boniface made 12 appearances for Bremen, contributing two assists before his injury.
