The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetukun has redeployed and posted new Commissioners of Police to Borno Jigawa and Osun States.
The newly posted Commissioners of Police include CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid, Borno State Command; CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua, Cross-River State Command; CP Dahiru Mohammed, Jigawa State Command; CP Adebowale Lawal, Ondo State Command and CP Ibrahim Gotan who was posted to Osun State Command.
Others are CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo, Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, and CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin posted to the FCID Annex, Gombe State as CP General Investigation.
The IGP said the deployments were aimed at leveraging the vast wealth of policing experiences of the senior officers to drive effective policing and ensure the safety and security of citizens within their respective jurisdictions.
Egbetokun, while reassuring the public of the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to ensuring a safer and more secure nation, called for continued support and collaboration of citizens in the collective fight against crime and criminality.
Meanwhile, the IGP has charged the new Commissioners of Police to uphold the principles of professionalism and quality leadership towards ridding their various commands of criminal elements threatening national security.
