The statement released on Saturday by the governor’s SSA on New Media, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, noted that the committee comprises the following: Alhaji Nasiru Ali Surundi – Chairman; Rep Nigerian Army – Member ; Rep Nigerian Police – Member ; Rep NSCDC – Member ; Rep DSS – Member, Rep Ministry of Justice – Member; Rep Ministry of Trade Investment and Tourism – Member; Rep Ministry of Information and Internal Security – Member; Rep Ministry of Sports Youth Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation – Member.

The statement noted that despite other negative things associated with the scavenging activities in Borno State, Zulum, however, for the numerous livelihood it provided for the youth, approved this committee to devise a framework that would sanitise the scavenging business.
