The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reviewed the composition of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, assigning key positions to several politicians outside the ruling party, including Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The revised list, published on Tuesday morning, features members of opposition parties alongside APC chieftains in strategic positions covering state coordination, fundraising, media communications, mobilisation and campaign administration.

Wike, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) figure, has been named State Coordinator for both Rivers State and the FCT.

Adeleke, also associated with the PDP, has been listed as Campaign Coordinator for Osun State, while former Gombe State Governor and PDP chieftain, Ibrahim Dankwambo, has been appointed one of the Campaign Council Advisers.

Obafemi George has also been named an adviser on media affairs.

The inclusion of the opposition figures comes as the APC reorganises its campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general election.

The revised list also accommodates more APC members in senior campaign positions.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has been appointed Deputy Director-General, South II, while Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker Martin Amaewhule will serve as South-South Deputy Coordinator for State Assemblies Mobilisation.

Senator David Umahi has been named Deputy Director-General for Infrastructure and Sensitisation.

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will serve as Director of Finance, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) Chairman Zacch Adedeji have been assigned fundraising responsibilities.

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been named Director of Stakeholder Mobilisation, while former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola will serve as South-West Zonal Coordinator for Stakeholders’ Mobilisation.

Former Nigerian international footballer Joseph Yobo has been appointed Deputy Director for Sports Sector Mobilisation.

Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dele Alake will retain his position as spokesman for the Campaign Council, while James Faleke has been named Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring.

Senator Adams Oshiomhole will serve as Deputy Director-General in charge of Mobilisation, while Femi Gbajabiamila retains the position of Deputy Director-General for Administration.
