BREAKING: NLC, TUC Suspend Indefinite Nationwide Strike

The Joint National Executive Council (NEC) of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), on Wednesday night, resolved to suspend the ongoing indefinite nationwide strike by workers.

The Labour unions said the suspension followed the intervention of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

LEADERSHIP reports that both Labour Centres had directed their members and affiliate groups to commence an indefinite nationwide strike on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 over the brutalisation of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, allegedly by Policemen in Owerri, Imo State, on November 1.
