BUA Foods MD Abioye To Deliver Keynote At Industry Summit

The managing director of BUA Foods Plc, Dr Ayodele Musibau Abioye, has been named keynote speaker for the 2026 Industry Summit, themed “The Year of the Real Sector.”

In a statement issued by the organisers, Industry Newspaper, Abioye is expected to present a paper titled “Unlocking Value: BUA Foods’ Role in Transforming Nigeria’s Real Sector Through Innovation and Sustainability.”

The 7th edition of the Industry Summit/Awards is scheduled to be held on April 17, 2026, at the Civic Centre.

Organisers also unveiled panellists for the event, including Adeola Amosun of Tolaram, Abisoye Oruye of FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Henry Ononiwu of PHD Nigeria, and Oluwaponmile Alabi of Guinness Nigeria.

Others include Godfrey Adejumoh of Diageo, Sylvester Nwanze of UAC Foods, Olusegun Akinyemiju of Guinness Nigeria, and Gift Uche-Ewule of Godrej Consumer Products.

Convener of the summit, Goddie Ofose, described Abioye as a results-driven leader with extensive experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, and business development.

Abioye joined BUA Group as chief operating officer in 2021 and later became managing director of BUA Foods Plc. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its footprint within Nigeria and across Africa.

His previous roles include General Manager at Seven-Up Bottling Company, Country Technical Director at Coca-Cola Nigeria, and regional supply chain director at Nigerian Bottling Company, among others.

The event will be chaired by the minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, John Owan Enoh. Other expected guests include Lagos State commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso; senior special assistant to the president on New Media and Digital Communications, O’tega Ogra; and Special Adviser to the Lagos State governor on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile.
