CAF, NFF, Others Celebrate Okocha At 51

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Paris Saint-Germain and Frankfurt have sent birthday wishes to legendary Nigerian captain Austin Okocha at 51.

CAF wrote: “So good they named him twice.

“Happiest of birthday to Nigerian icon and CAF Ambassador, Jay-Jay Okocha.”

The NFF also wrote on X: “Happy birthday to the legendary @IAmOkocha.”

Ligue 1 champions PSG stated: “Happy birthday to #PSGLegend Jay-Jay Okocha

According to Frankfurt:”Jay Jay Okocha who once danced with the Titans, celebrates his 51st birthday today.”

Okocha made his Super Eagles debut in 1993 against Côte d’Ivoire in the 1994 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

He was a member of the Super Eagles squad that won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia and also featured at the USA 1994 World Cup.

Okocha played a key role as Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles made history as they won gold in the football event of the Atlanta 1996 Olympic games.

He went on to feature at the France 1998 and Korea/Japan 2002 World Cups and retired from international football in 2006.
