Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc has partnered with the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) to deliver urgent relief to families affected by recent flooding in Mokwa, Niger State.

This humanitarian intervention reflects CAP’s growing commitment to creating shared value and responding to community needs through long-term, impact-driven initiatives.

The Mokwa flood in May was triggered by a torrential downpour, which displaced over 1500 individuals and affected over 500 homes in the community. In response, CAP extended targeted support to the most vulnerable families, providing relief items to ease their immediate burden and helping them begin the process of recovery.

The donation was formally presented by Adefolahan Ojo, the regional sales manager for North Central, CAP.

This moment marked a show of solidarity with a community striving to rebuild after loss.

Speaking on CAP’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, Adefolahan emphasised the importance of swift, compassionate action: “At CAP, we remain deeply committed to making a meaningful impact through our CSR efforts. We believe in showing up for communities in times of need, and we hope this gesture brings relief and a sense of solidarity to the families in Mokwa.”

The Nigerian Red Cross Society praised the company’s prompt intervention, highlighting how public-private partnerships like this one can play a crucial role in disaster response and preparedness.

Director of Disaster Management at NRCS, Benson Agbro, stated, “This collaboration reflects what is possible when compassion meets action. It reinforces the collective responsibility we all share in creating safer environments, especially in the face of growing climate-related challenges.”

In the wake of these devastating floods and the environmental cost of climate change, CAP remains focused on supporting communities through resilience-building efforts, ensuring that its impact goes beyond products to touch lives in real, lasting ways.

Chemical and Allied Products is Nigeria’s leading manufacturer and distributor of paints and coatings, with a proud legacy of over 70 years. As a subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria Plc, CAP focuses exclusively on producing and distributing premium and standard decorative, industrial, and protective coatings.
